Danubhai from South Gujarat has filed an application after attending the training programme organized for volunteer. Nanu, volunteer of the campaign, and belongs to tribal areas of South Gujarat. His application was about the budget utilized for constructing a check dam, who was given the contract of construction, what was the procedure followed etc. Earlier without RTI he had asked same information, which was not given. He was also beaten up by the forest guard.
later, in reply to his RTI application, he received a message from the forest office, saying that, the money will be deposited back by the contractor. The officer has also asked him to withdraw the RTI application. Here we share some of the interesting incidences. Nanu is firm with his stand and has communicated back that he will not withdraw the application.
